Polish Army Tent.

Genuine Polish military issue bivvi tent, supplied as two shelter halves complete with twin pack of poles and pegs - very similar to the Swedish Laavu tent, but at a fraction of the price. Buttoned together, forms a teepee - type shelter with 4 - section central pole, capable of fitting two people. Designed to be carried by two persons, splitting into two bundles of equal weight. Canvas shelter halves can be worn as a poncho (see picture) with sleeve holes, button front, and drawstrings for a better fit around hood section - surprisingly tough and warm, and 'one size fits all' conception. As featured on Bushcraft forums, these tents are very sturdy and flexible, and take only a very short time to erect. Although not supplied with groundsheet, this should not be a major problem if some care is taken over selection of ground; if necessary a 2M x 2M square or circular sheet should be more than sufficient to form a floor. These are 1970s/1980s issue, and although technically used are in excellent condition! Olive green cotton canvas construction, aluminium poles, the example shown above had been left erected for a week in less than ideal conditions for a week prior to photographing! Ideal for a wide range of expeditions and usages, and surprisingly roomy inside! Weight 3.4 Kg. Used, Very Good Condition!

Polish Army Poncho/Shelter Half.

Heavy duty cotton canvas poncho, comprising one half of the Polish Army tent featured above. With drawstringed hood, button front, and sleeve holes, designed to fit most people, with eyelets to be used as a shelter (works best with two). French Army Tent.

Two-man ridge tent with separate flysheet and sewn-in groundsheet. A traditionally constructed tent made from nylon canvas and rubber, it is extremely hardwearing, and has been standard French military issue  from the 1970's onwards. Fully equipped with pegs, poles, guy ropes, and ready for immediate use, it is far superior to modern nylon disposable dome tents.  Grade 1 used, dimensions 82" L, 55" W, 39" H.
